The Historical or District Inquiries are convened in a particular district or rohe to hear the claims within that region. Claims in a District Inquiry tend to be land-related but can relate to wider socio-economic issues such as education, a loss of te reo Māori, a loss or denigration of tikānga Māori and economic capability issues.
